About Jopie Construction Group
A Hamilton general contractor founded by a civil engineer and PMI member with more than ten years in construction project management.
Our story
Johnpaul Guminkiriza has worked in construction project management for more than ten years. In 2016 he founded Jopie Engineering Group in Kampala, Uganda, and served as project manager on several major developments there. After relocating to Canada, he founded Jopie Construction Group in Ontario, registered in 2026, to bring the same planning discipline to homeowners and businesses in Hamilton and the surrounding area.
We are a new company in Ontario and would rather say so plainly. Too many projects run over budget and past their deadline because nobody is truly managing them. What we can show is the experience behind the company — the credentials and project record below, and the client reviews on Google — and a way of working that puts the schedule, the budget and the scope in writing.
Today we are a general contractor serving Hamilton and nearby communities, handling complete projects from planning to the final finishes. We self-perform many trades in-house — drywall, painting, tiling, flooring and more — and manage the rest, so you deal with one accountable team.
