Why Jopie

We treat framing as structural work, not a formality before drywall. A wall that's out of square or a header that's undersized causes problems for every trade that follows — so we get it right the first time.

Common questions

FAQ

Do I need an engineer to remove a load-bearing wall?

In most cases, yes — a structural engineer needs to size the replacement beam and support. We coordinate that as part of the project and pull the necessary permits.

Can you frame a basement for finishing?

Yes — we frame basement walls, ready for insulation and drywall. See our basement renovation page for the full finishing service.

How long does framing take?

A single interior wall might take a day; a full addition or load-bearing wall removal with engineering can take one to two weeks depending on complexity and permit timelines.

Do you handle the drywall after framing too?

Yes — we self-perform drywall installation as well, so framing through finished walls can be one continuous, coordinated job.
